I've been a plus-size model for seven years and an actress for five.
Being in this industry as a full-figured individual, I strive to have a
voice for those who may want to live their dreams, but have a fear
because of their weight, size, or age.
After receiving my degree in Musical Theatre from San Diego, I moved to New York City and performed Off-Off Broadway at the 13th Street Repertory Company in a musical called "Rumple Who?".
I decided after six months to finish my undergraduate degree in Ohio, where I was asked to direct an original stage play called The Vajazzle Monologues.
Social activism is very important to me, as well as networking, public relations, and helping people. My entrepreneurship comes from the need to help, encourage, and bring people in the community together.
Since 2000 I have owned and operated a small business called Soul Food Connection. In 2009 I added to my business repertoire a Plus-Size Acting Network, where I also host a radio show interviewing actors and actresses.
In 2005 my son passed away from a birth defect called Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. It's imperative that I spread the word about this horrible birth defect that 1 in 3,000 babies are born with each year. It's just as common as other birth defects but not many people know about it.
Thank you for visiting my website, and I hope that you will decide to come back again soon. If you don't mind, please sign the guestbook so that I know you were here, and if you'd like to contact me, please use the webform provided. - Rene
